This project helps young people become advocates for the issues that shape their lives, from education and mental wellbeing to inclusion and opportunity. Through leadership training, mentorship, and direct engagement with decision-makers, participants gain the skills and confidence to drive change in their communities, creating a growing network of youth leaders whose voices help shape more effective and equitable policies.
Young people are deeply affected by policies on education, mental health, inclusion, and wellbeing, yet they are rarely given the training, mentorship, and platforms needed to influence those decisions. Many youth lack opportunities to develop advocacy, communication, and leadership skills or connect with policymakers. Without meaningful engagement, youth voices and lived experiences are often absent from discussions that directly impact their lives.
This project equips young people with leadership, advocacy, and civic engagement skills through training, mentorship, and hands-on practice. Youth learn how to communicate with decision-makers, advocate for child wellbeing, and lead community-driven projects. As one participant reflected, "This program helped me learn how to research, plan, and share ideas clearly." By building confidence, networks, and real-world experience, the program empowers youth to become effective changemakers.
By investing in youth leadership, this project creates a lasting network of informed advocates who continue driving change in their communities. Participants lead local projects, train peers, and build relationships with mentors and policymakers. As one participant shared, "There isn't anything stopping me from going out and doing something in my community." This ripple effect strengthens civic engagement and ensures youth voices shape community solutions for years to come.
