This project will build 100 women with disabilities with tools to reclaim their confidence, strengthen their resilience, and step boldly into the labor market. Project combines psychosocial support with practical employment guidance-helping participants overcome stigma, cope with stress, and build skills for active job seeking. It will transform lives: counseling sessions, group workshops and empowerment activities will open doors to dignity, independence, and opportunity.
Women with disabilities in Serbia face double discrimination-both gender and disability. They are marginalized in their communities, struggling with stigma, lack of support, and limited access to the education and labor market. This results in low self-confidence, social isolation, and economic dependence. The problem affects the majority of women with disabilities, leaving them marginalized and preventing their full participation and contribution to social and economic development.
The project will provide psychosocial support and practical employment guidance tailored to women with disabilities. Through individual counseling, group workshops, and empowerment activities, participants will rebuild confidence, learn to manage stress, and strengthen resilience. At the same time, they will gain concrete skills for active job seeking-CV writing, interview preparation, and networking-helping them overcome stigma and access real opportunities in the labor market.
The long-term effect will be sustainable empowerment and inclusion of women with disabilities in the labor market. By strengthening confidence, resilience, and employability, the project helps dismantle stigma and systemic barriers. The problem will be addressed through lasting psychosocial support networks and improved access to jobs, reducing isolation and dependence. 100 women with disabilities across the community will directly benefit, creating broader social and economic impact
