Thank you for supporting women farmers and creating new opportunities for rural families. Your generosity is making a real difference in the lives of women like Laxmibai.
Laxmibai, from a small tribal village in southern Rajasthan, never imagined she could start a business of her own. Like many women in her community, she spent her days caring for her family with little opportunity to earn an independent income.
Everything changed when she joined a Self-Help Group facilitated by Seva Mandir. Through regular meetings and training, she gained new knowledge, confidence, and the encouragement to explore new livelihood opportunities.
Inspired to try something new, Laxmi began growing marigold flowers on just 0.4 bigha of land. With patience and determination, she harvested and sold 200 kilograms of flowers, earning Rs. 12,100 in a single season.
More than the income, this success gave Laxmi confidence in her own abilities and inspired her to expand her floriculture work in the coming seasons.
