Thiago is 15 years old and lives with his heart on the field and his eyes set on a better future. His passion for soccer is not just a dream, but a promise of hope for his family.
Every morning starts early. He attends school, then travels two hours to train, returns home, and still has the energy to go to the gym. While many rest, Thiago keeps pushing forward. On the field, he feels free, strong, and truly alive.
The path he’s walked hasn’t been easy. His mother, the backbone of the family, fought a tough battle against breast cancer. Financial hardship has also been part of their story, at times threatening his sister’s access to education. Despite it all, Thiago chose not to give up. His mother taught him that true strength shows up when you keep going even when everything feels uphill.
Since the fifth grade, Perú Champs has walked alongside him. Thanks to this support, his talent has found space to grow—with access to a world-class education.
Today, Thiago trains with more determination than ever. He dreams of becoming a professional soccer player, but his goal goes far beyond that. He wants to change his family’s future, thank those who stood by him, and show the world that no dream is out of reach when you fight with everything you have.
Thiago runs for his future—but also for those who have believed in him. Because when a young person with talent receives real support, they don’t just transform their own life. They inspire an entire country.
