Strengthening the Capacity of Staff to Transform Lives
Reporting Period: February – April 2026
From mid-January to April 2026, the PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) Uganda implemented impactful interventions aimed at enhancing the lives of orphans and vulnerable children (OVC). Our holistic approach integrates caregiver support, educational assistance, psychosocial engagement, and direct household monitoring, reinforcing our commitment to child protection and development.
PLATFORM for the NEEDY (PLANE) Uganda empowers vulnerable children, women, and youth in rural communities. Our dedicated team of six volunteers passionately works to transform lives, helping those who once roamed the streets in search of survival. They conduct sessions on sexual education and livelihood programs for teenage mothers and rural women in Uganda.
During this quarter, we continued carrying out our programs as usual, empowering women and girls in communities and conducting advocacy radio and TV programs to mobilize people towards health and socioeconomic issues. However, this project of empowering our volunteer staff did not attract any support or donations from any individuals.
Our dedicated team of six staff members selflessly works to uplift rural communities, yet we face a financial gap that jeopardizes their retention and morale. While they do not receive a monthly salary, their commitment to education and community development is unwavering. By donating, you ensure that these selfless individuals can continue their vital work.
