Dear donors:
In Fundación Proacceso we work hard every day to create new and different ways to solve the practical necessities of the community. This is how we are always creating new courses and ways of encourage single mothers, and women in general to take interest in their education.
This is why, last month, with the help of Microsoft, we developed the first pilot of Misión Emprende. Misión Emprende is a three part series designed to teach entrepreneurs how to convert ideas into actions that have value for others. Based in the Push Method, Misión Emprende "pushes" students through their fears and into action. Using the business model canvas, prospective and current entrepreneurs learn how determine their value propositions, identify and reach customer groups, manage costs & revenues, and pitch their ideas. The course is based in case-studies, board games, a Transmedia strategy to delivering information (blogs, podcasts, videos).
This course is being now implemented in two low income communities in the municipalities of Toluca and Nezahualcóyotl. Misión Emprende wasn’t developed specifically for women, nevertheless, in the first group 87% of the people were women and in the second group it became a 100%.
We also worked on this video so more people know about this program.
