Reporting Period: April – September 22, 2026
1. Introduction
Blessed Echoes Children Alliance (BECA) is a community-based organization committed to supporting orphans, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and responding to pressing challenges affecting families and communities.
During the period from April to September 22, 2026, BECA continued working with vulnerable children, families and community members despite limited financial resources. The organization remained active through community visits, identification of vulnerable children, education support, fundraising campaigns, community meetings, partnerships, volunteer engagement and resource mobilization.
Our work during this period demonstrated that significant community needs remain, particularly among children and families living in vulnerable circumstances. BECA therefore continued seeking partnerships and financial support to expand its programs and respond to these needs.
2. Community Outreach and Identification of Vulnerable Children
The organization conducted community visits and engaged with families and community members to identify children and households experiencing difficulties. These visits enabled the organization to better understand the challenges affecting vulnerable children, including difficulties accessing education, inadequate food and nutrition, unsafe living conditions and limited household resources.
The information gathered through community engagement has helped us identify priority areas where additional interventions and donor support are urgently required.
3. Education Support
Education remained one of our key areas of concern during the reporting period. The organization continued identifying vulnerable children who needed educational assistance and mobilizing support from available sources.
Some children received education-related assistance through resources obtained from sources other than GlobalGiving. BECA also continued advocating for greater support for disadvantaged children, particularly children from poor households who face difficulties remaining in school.
The organization recognizes that education provides vulnerable children with an opportunity to improve their future and reduce the cycle of poverty.
4. Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
The organization continued participating in fundraising campaigns and reaching out to individual donors, well-wishers, partners and other potential supporters.
Individual donors have contributed generously toward the organization's work, helping us respond to some of the needs identified within the community.
BECA also continued its relationship with GlobalGiving International and participated in fundraising activities through the platform. During the reporting period, approximately US$169.24 was raised through GlobalGiving. However, these funds had not yet been disbursed because the amount remained too small to meet the applicable disbursement threshold.
Although the amount raised was limited, we consider every contribution important because it demonstrates the willingness of supporters to contribute toward improving the lives of vulnerable children and communities.
5. Community Meetings and Partnerships
Blessed Echoes Children Alliance continued engaging community members, local stakeholders, potential partners and volunteers. Meetings and discussions provided opportunities to understand community priorities, mobilize local participation and explore opportunities for collaboration.
The organization recognizes that sustainable community development requires cooperation among community members, local leaders, civil society organizations, donors, volunteers and other development partners.
BECA therefore continues to seek partnerships that can provide financial resources, technical assistance, materials, skills development and other forms of support.
6. Volunteer Engagement
Because of limited financial resources, volunteers have remained an important part of our work. Volunteers have supported community outreach, identification of vulnerable children, mobilization, awareness activities and other organizational activities.
Their contribution has enabled the organization to remain active while seeking additional financial resources to strengthen and expand its programs.
7. Other Community Challenges Identified
In addition to the needs of vulnerable children, BECA has identified several other serious challenges affecting communities. These challenges require long-term interventions and resources.
Through community engagement, we have developed an additional list of priority projects that have not yet received adequate funding. These projects represent areas where donor and partner support could make a meaningful difference.
8. Priority Projects Requiring Donor Support
Blessed Echoes Children Alliance is currently appealing for financial and material support for the following priority projects:
1. Donate a Goat for Sustainable Livelihoods
Support vulnerable households with goats as livelihood assets. Goat rearing can provide families with opportunities for income generation, breeding and improved household resilience.
2. Support the Elderly with Food and Essentials
Provide food, clothing and other essential items to vulnerable elderly people who have limited resources to meet their basic needs.
3. Help Construct a School
Mobilize resources to support the construction of school facilities and create a safer and more conducive learning environment for children in underserved communities.
4. Provide Nutritious Meals for 80 Children
Support nutritious meals for 80 vulnerable children to improve their wellbeing, school attendance, concentration and participation in education.
5. Micro-Credit for Sustainability
Support the establishment of a small micro-credit initiative that can provide vulnerable households and small entrepreneurs with access to capital for income-generating activities.
6. Clean Water for Children at School
Support schools to obtain safe and reliable water through appropriate water infrastructure, storage facilities and hygiene promotion.
7. Help Children Affected by Abuse
Support child protection interventions for children affected by abuse and neglect, including identification, referrals, psychosocial support, family support and community awareness.
8. Support a Rape Survivor
Mobilize resources to assist a rape survivor in accessing appropriate emergency, protection, psychosocial and recovery services through relevant professional and community structures.
9. Emergency Food Aid and Nutrition Support to Vulnerable Communities
Provide emergency food and nutrition assistance to vulnerable children, families and communities experiencing food insecurity and related hardships.
9. Key Challenges
The major challenge facing BECA during the reporting period was inadequate financial resources. Although the organization continued fundraising and receiving some support from individuals and other sources, available resources were insufficient to address the scale of needs identified in the community.
The limited funds available also restricted our ability to implement several planned projects simultaneously.
Another challenge was the large number of vulnerable children and households requiring assistance compared with the resources available to the organization.
10. Looking Ahead
The organization intends to continue strengthening its community outreach, identification and support of vulnerable children, education assistance, fundraising, partnerships and volunteer engagement.
The organization will also continue seeking funding for the identified priority projects. BECA hopes to establish stronger partnerships with donors, foundations, development organizations, companies, individual philanthropists and other well-wishers.
The organization's long-term goal is not only to provide immediate assistance but also to promote sustainable solutions that enable vulnerable families and communities to become more resilient and self-reliant.
11. Appeal to Donors and Partners
Blessed Echoes Children Alliance appeals to donors, development partners, foundations, companies, organizations, individual philanthropists and well-wishers to support its work.
The needs identified during the April–September 22 reporting period demonstrate that vulnerable children and communities require continued attention and investment. Financial contributions, material donations, technical assistance, partnerships and volunteer support can all contribute toward addressing these challenges.
BECA is committed to responsible stewardship of resources received and to using donor support for its intended purposes while maintaining appropriate records and reporting on activities and results.
12. Conclusion
The period from April to September 22, 2026 was characterized by continued community engagement, identification of vulnerable children, education support, fundraising, partnership development, meetings and volunteer activities.
Despite operating with limited resources and without a GlobalGiving disbursement during this period, we remain committed to our mission of supporting vulnerable children and responding to community needs.
The organization appreciates all individuals and partners who have contributed their time, resources, encouragement and support. BECA now calls upon additional partners and donors to join this effort so that more vulnerable children, families and communities can receive the support they need.
Together, we can create hope, protect vulnerable children, strengthen families and build more resilient communities
