The first of ten schools vegetable gardens is located in an irrigated rural region of small size fruits producers. It has 60 students and is located in small town with city students and others coming from nearby rural areas.

The school tried to begin an agroecological garden project although without the necessary funds for tools and materials and lack of know how. Fundación Huerta Niño is now attending they needs.

As deficiencies of nutritional behaviors were found the project presented by the school professors is for them a key opportunity to promote healthy eating habits and create a space for knowledge exchange between rural and urban students.

The school community is commited with the project and progressing with the foundation support and teaching. It has has begun to generate a significant learning space, promoting coexistence, teamwork and learning in a different type of classroom.
