HopeShield Humanitarian Foundation will empower vulnerable girls in Nigeria through quality education, school support, mentorship, digital literacy, STEM, life skills, leadership, and vocational training. We will help out-of-school girls enroll, remain in school, and complete their education while promoting gender equality, menstrual hygiene, child protection, and economic empowerment. Millions of Nigerian children remain out of school, and girls face additional barriers, including poverty, insecurity, gender discrimination, unpaid care work, early marriage, child labour, menstrual health challenges and limited access to digital learning. These barriers increase school dropout and vulnerability to violence and exploitation. Without urgent investment in girls' education, Nigeria loses human potential while families remain trapped in cycles of poverty and inequality.
HopeShield will identify vulnerable and out-of-school girls and support them with school fees where needed, uniforms, books, learning materials, menstrual hygiene supplies, safe learning spaces, mentoring and psychosocial support. Girls will receive life skills, leadership, digital literacy, STEM and vocational training, plus career guidance. We will engage parents, teachers and community leaders to strengthen child protection, gender equality, school retention and girls' participation.
The project will help girls complete education, build confidence and gain practical skills for employment, entrepreneurship and leadership. Over time, educated and empowered girls can make informed decisions, reduce vulnerability to child marriage and exploitation, contribute to household income and become role models. Community engagement will strengthen support for girls' rights and education, while partnerships and local capacity will help sustain results beyond donor funding.
