Ann Foundation (AF) brings progressive education and technology to the underprivileged and strives to instill a lifelong passion for learning in them. Through our Empowering Marginalized Youth via Enhanced Education (EMYEE) Program, we provide technology & educational resources; conduct online English & Computer classes; and nurture social skills to better equip students for success in the modern digital world. We offer sustainable solutions so our beneficiaries become self-reliant & confident.
For most modern-day education and future employment, basic computer and spoken English language proficiency are requirements. Unfortunately, lack of technology resources and quality educational programs often hinders the growth potential of the disadvantaged yet motivated youth in impoverished communities. Due to their socio-economic status, they are mostly deprived of opportunities for growth and learning that causes a deficit in their social and technical skills.
Our EMYEE program provides access to technology; English & computer literacy; and social skills development using learner-centered teaching approaches in customized classroom settings. We furnish equipment to setup infrastructure (computers, a printer, a projector, related accessories, & seating). Based on site specific needs, we supply essential items (water purifier, sanitizing system, library books, school & daily use, etc.) to ensure a healthy environment conducive for focused learning.
Our long-term impact would be to provide sustainable solutions powerful enough to be positively life-altering for the marginalized youth. By the irrevocable knowledge and skills imparted through our program, we empower students to be literate, self-confident, employable, and independent citizens. Most importantly we hope to inspire young generation to pursue the path that allows them to break barriers of poverty and deprivation and be contributing members of mainstream society.
