International Women's Day (March 8) is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality. The theme for 2023 is #EmbraceEquity.We can all challenge gender stereotypes, call out discrimination, draw attention to bias, and seek out inclusion. Collective activism is what drives change. From grassroots action to wide-scale momentum, we can all embrace equity.
Lockdowns, restrictions, and the turbulent economy have challenged the team of Dress for Success Sydney. Despite this, the volunteer-led registered charity has assisted hundreds of women in need into employment and financial independence through our FREE styling and career support services. This IWD you are being asked to #EmbraceEquity - and what better way to embrace equity than empowering vulnerable women into employment.
