Challenge

In Brazil, millions of girls from low-income communities face barriers that limit their educational and economic opportunities. Learning inequality, digital exclusion, and limited access to professional networks reduce their chances of success and financial independence. Without quality education, technology training, mentorship, and career opportunities, many young women struggle to access better jobs and build secure, independent futures.

Solution

AFESU provides free, high-impact programs that empower girls and young women through education, employability, digital inclusion, and human development. For over 60 years, AFESU has helped girls build skills, confidence, and opportunities for independent futures. Support helps provide academic learning, technology and AI training, employability preparation, mentorship, leadership development, vocational pathways, and family support, creating lasting impact across generations.

Long-Term Impact

Educated and empowered girls become economically independent women, professionals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders. AFESU works to break intergenerational cycles of inequality by expanding access to education, employability, leadership development, and economic opportunity. For over 60 years, AFESU has impacted more than 15,000 girls and young women. With donor support, thousands more can gain the skills, confidence, and opportunities to build brighter futures.
