For the past 2 years, Woman's hope has been supporting and mentoring girls. it becomes a cycle that every girl wanted to be part of it and we called it season for girls. It has helped many girls to be able to abstain early pregnancy and to be able to think of finishing school and having a good job before starting a family
As the saying goes when you empower girls and they become bold women you have already empowered a society. Woman's hope have been having different session with these girls starting from season for girls part 1 till 6 in this way they can be able to bring a friend to be mentored. Most of these beneficiaries are very vulnerable, the sick and the old people who live in a slum.
Most of these girls and their mothers do causal jobs to feed their families. When the world was attacked by Covid-19, everything changed. They don't get casual jobs anymore. Most of them slept hungry. Due to this we came up with an initiative dupped 'adopt a family' with this, we have adopted 200 families and each family gets a care pack after every two weeks. The care pack consists of; rice, cooking oil, sugar, legumes, maize flour, soap and sanitizer from Woman's Hope.
