Until There's A Cure has been raising funds/awareness for HIV/AIDS since 1993. We work with several groups in Zambia, Namibia and South Africa to uplift the lives of those both infected and affected by HIV/AIDS through practical and sustainable care, giving women the self-confidence to take their lives into their own hands and to acquire an identity, respect and status within their community.
Our vision is to facilitate economic empowerment of South African women in rural areas. Our focus has been to assist women who are infected or affected by HIV /AIDS who are in desperate need to earn a sustainable income. Until There's A Cure Foundation, www. until.org, is a national organization dedicated to eradicating HIV/AIDS by raising awareness and funds to combat this pandemic. Our foundation started with a simple idea that has had a profound impact -- selling bracelets
The Foundation was the first non-profit organization to create and sell a bracelet to raise funds for a cause.Our product line has expanded to include many bracelets of different styles and materials, priced from $5 to $150. UNTIL purchases bracelets and other products from organizations in the developing world, creating a market for the products, income for the artisans, many of whom are HIV+, and support for HIV/AIDS education and prevention.
Our project assists those in desperate need to acquire a craft skill and earn an income through the sale of their craft. This puts income back into vulnerable communities at the heart of the pandemic. We work closely to empower those that are most vulnerable.
