Women in India are considered 2nd Class citizens. They are given less rights and privileges. Thus, they are illiterate, destitute and unemployed. This project will empower them to rise in life.
Rosary Trust is running several projects to empower destitute women in 20 villages of 2 districts of India. Women in these villages are very backward. Women are not respected equally. They are not educated or trained in any skills. Therefore women need to be very urgently supported with all basic needs like food, shelter, medicines, clothing, education, etc.
Education of girl students and giving sewing machines to young girls, cows to young widows, decent clothing to destitute women, winter clothing to weak elderly women, food and shelter to neglected aged women, houses to homeless families, etc.
Enabling girls to read and write independently with comprehension; empowering destitute women to earn their living; Making weak elderly women feel comfortable and healthy; equipping the homeless with a house.
