It's been a busy year so far at FoodCycle with the launch of two new Hubs (Hackney and Peckham) and extra sessions being launched in Manchester and Portsmouth.
We've now served over 118,000 meals since we started, and we've reclaimed over 130,000kg of surplus food that would otherwise have gone to waste. We owe all this to our fantastic volunteers who come out rain or shine and cook up reclaimed ingredients into healthy three-course meals. We also couldn't do this without the support of people like you who have kindly donated - so thank you.
“I’ve been coming to FoodCycle on and off for a year and a half … I like the food here … It tastes really fresh and they really helped me out while I was street homeless … Roughly the same people come each week and we just have a chat and see how they are. FoodCycle is healthy, sociable, and a nice experience.” Andrew, 33, guest at FoodCycle Cambridge Hub
“It’s nice to come somewhere where you can calm yourself and bring your children to have a meal, a nice meal.” Bath Hub guest.
