Benefits of Extra English Classes

Apart from providing school supplies and other basic supports to children in community we also provide extra English classes, as part of our community outreach project, to children who live in a poor neighborhood for free aiming at improving their English education. There are 6 classes being organized at the weekdays in our campus. These extra classes are designed for children who are unable to afford the English education program provided by private schools to build their English capacity and to enable them catch up with other students at school.

This project has become such an important part of the school curriculum that many parents fear that if they do not pay for these extra English classes at private school, their children may not be able to pass class examinations.

In more cases than one, the extra classes are organized without the official supervision of the accredited schools involved. Invariably, a few teachers, mostly volunteer teachers, get together to organize these classes. Our English program is line with the public school curriculum.

Financially, the extra classes are a great help to poor parents and guardians, many of whom are unable to afford it. Besides the free English classes we also provide them with some school materials and other supports to meet their basic needs.

The children are very happy with their study of English language. They never miss their classes. They really enjoy meeting other children from their neighborhood. Their parents and guardians have also been very supportive of the English education provided by our project. We would like to thank those who have made a contribution towards the success of this project.
