My name is Mihika, GlobalGiving's new field traveler in Nepal. Field travelers play a crucial role in aiding local partners learn new skills and tools to increase their impact and achieve their goals. I am seeking your support to conduct site visits to our local partners, hold workshops bringing together local nonprofits and reach out to new strategic partners. I will be the human connection between GlobalGiving and our fantastic partners on the ground!
The social sector is constantly globalizing, and nonprofits must work extra hard to secure funds for their causes. Our nonprofit partners are in need of access to tools and resources in order to optimize their fundraising strategy. Additionally, remote organizations oftentimes don't have the space to connect with each other to create a local network for learning and collaboration, thus leading to the lack of a support base that can be extremely useful in times of need.
When you invest in my Field Travel work, you help provide a face for our local nonprofits who are functioning in a largely virtual community. I am essential in supporting this ever growing network. I will be connecting 30 of our organizations to this strong global web of donors, which enables local leaders to operate more effectively and efficiently. Through the GlobalGiving platform and the many learning tools I will be providing, our partners can raise funds and better serve their communities.
The one-on-one support, development and fundraising tools provided during my site visits and workshops, due to your contributions will ensure that our local nonprofit partners continue to learn and grow. This in turn allows them to become increasingly engaged and effective. Focusing on local leaders and their community programs allows us to entrust social change to those who know best. This work is rapidly changing the way people think about giving back.
