PGIO Community Table Program

The Community Table Program by protect girl image is a community outreach initiative designed to restore hope, dignity, and safety to vulnerable children, youth, and families affected by drug and alcohol abuse, homelessness, poverty, and adolescent pregnancy. Through this program, PGIO creates a safe space where practical support and awareness meet compassion and rehabilitation.

At the center of the program is the belief that many young people trapped in addiction, street life, and risky behaviors need more than correction — they need care, guidance, food, protection, and opportunities for transformation.

Feeding While Creating Awareness. The Community Table Program provides meals to vulnerable youth, street-connected children, and families facing hardship. As meals are shared, PGIO also conducts awareness sessions on the dangers of drug and alcohol abuse, helping participants understand the physical, emotional, spiritual, and social effects of addiction. The feeding outreach creates an opportunity to build trust with young people living on the streets and those already struggling with substance abuse. Through counseling, mentorship, testimonies, and community dialogue, the program encourages positive life choices and connects individuals to available support systems.

Rescue and Referral to Safe Spaces. Many of the young people reached through the program are living in unsafe environments or on the streets. Since PGIO has not yet been able to rebuild its own rehabilitation and rescue center, the organization currently works through partnerships and networking with existing children’s homes, rehabilitation centers, churches, and safe houses.Through these collaborations, vulnerable youth and rescued girls are referred to secure environments where they can receive shelter, counseling, rehabilitation services, education support, and protection from abuse and exploitation.

PGIO continues to advocate and mobilize support toward rebuilding its own safe rehabilitation and rescue facility that will provide long-term care and restoration for affected youth and girls.

Reproductive Health Workshops for Youth. The program also conducts reproductive health workshops aimed at empowering adolescents and young people with accurate information, life skills, and mentorship. These workshops address the growing challenge of adolescent pregnancy, sexual exploitation, sexually transmitted infections, peer pressure, and low self-esteem among youth.

The sessions focus on:

  • Sexual and reproductive health education
  • Menstrual hygiene awareness
  • Abstinence and responsible decision-making
  • Mental health and emotional wellbeing
  • Prevention of gender-based violence
  • Life skills and personal development
  • Guidance and counseling

By creating open and supportive discussions, PGIO helps young people make informed choices, protect their future, and grow into responsible members of society.

Program Vision

The Community Table Program seeks to build a healthier and safer community where vulnerable youth are empowered, restored, protected, and given an opportunity to rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
