Theme: We Donated New Uniforms to Needy Children .
1. Summary
Gaba Hope for Kids donated new school uniforms to vulnerable children . The aim was to remove uniform barriers to attendance and increase classroom participation.
2. Activities Carried Out
1. Identified needy children through school heads and parent reps using attendance and financial need criteria
2. Procured and distributed new uniforms to children
3. Held a short handover with schools to record recipients and confirm sizes
3. Outputs
1. Children received complete new uniforms
2. All recipient names and schools were recorded for tracking
3. Schools confirmed distribution was completed on time for the term
4. Early Outcomes Observed
1. Short-term: Higher attendance in the first 2 weeks after distribution
2. Short-term: Increased confidence and participation in class as reported by teachers
3. Medium-term: Reduced stigma for children who previously missed school due to lack of uniforms
5. Stakeholder Feedback
1. School heads: Uniforms helped children attend regularly without embarrassment
2. Teachers: Noted better participation during lessons
3. Parents: Expressed gratitude and requested continued support each term
