Project Report: Transforming Lives Through Education

1. Executive Summary
Hope for Kids continues to transform the lives of 520 underprivileged children aged 6 to 14 in Makindye. This period focused on literacy improvement and menstrual health support for girls.

2. Activities Conducted
- Daily literacy and numeracy classes for 5 groups
- After-school mentorship and homework support
- Distribution of sanitary pads to 15 girls under Girls Dignity Program
- Community home visits for 20 most vulnerable children
- Training of 4 volunteer educators

3. Achievements
- 360 children attending regularly
- Improved reading for 120 children
- 15 girls retained in school with dignity kits
- Secured small learning space for daily classes

4. Challenges
- Limited learning materials, only 40 storybooks available for 360 children
- Need for 100 additional storybooks
- Small learning space and rent pressure
- Limited funds for educator stipends
