*HOPE FOR KIDS*
*Empowering Learners with Knowledge and Skills*
At Hope for Kids, we don't just teach children to pass exams. We empower learners with knowledge and skills for life.
Because knowledge without skills cannot feed a family.
And skills without knowledge cannot grow a future.
For our 520+ children, empowerment means learning that works both in class and outside class.
*How We Are Empowering Learners with Knowledge and Skills:*
*1. Knowledge That Opens Minds:*
Before, 5 children shared one book. Now 150 children have their own books. 520+ children now read, write, and think confidently. Our learners now know their rights, their health, and their future.
*2. Biology Skills That Save Lives:*
Through our new Biology corner, 200+ children have seen cells under a microscope for the first time. They now understand their bodies, hygiene, and health. 180 girls now understand their dignity and health - a skill that keeps them in school every day.
*3. Farming Skills That Feed Families:*
45 learners are now learning to grow vegetables in small sacks at school. Knowledge of Biology plus skills in farming = food for their families. They are feeding themselves.
*4. Life Skills That Build Confidence:*
- 12 formerly homeless children now learn how to save, how to speak in public, and how to dream again
- 200+ children learn how to work in groups, solve problems, and help each other before the bell rings
- 180 girls learn confidence, leadership, and saying "I can"
*The Result of Empowerment:*
- Attendance from 65% to 92%
- Science pass rate from 32% to 58%
- 45 children who had dropped out are back in school
- 520+ children now believe they can become doctors, teachers, and farmers
*What We Still Need to Empower More Learners:*
- More books to empower with knowledge
- More lab materials to empower with science skills
- More farming tools to empower with food skills
- More mentors to empower with life skills
- Our own classrooms to empower every day
