Family heritage is an organization committed to supporting the less privileged in the rural communities in Nigeria. In recent time the organization work to support orphans in secondary schools met with some challenges of dropping out of school of some (orphans) adolescent girls due to unwanted pregnancy. Such girls faces difficulty in raising their children, going back to school or learning a skill/trade.This project want to assist 500 of such girls back to school or learn and establish a trade.
adolescent girls especially orphans in schools are dropping out of school in Ekiti state Nigeria because of unwanted pregnancy. the children are lured into sexual relationship because of small gratifications such as money, handset, free ride etc or sexually abuse by older men or schoolmate thereby becoming pregnant. these girls faces problems in delivery, and in getting money for their livelihood. So 500 of such girls will be empowered to go back to school or or learn and establish a trade
FAHPI provide counseling for affected girls to go back to school or learn a trade after delivery. they are trained on life planning skills, family planning methods and prevention of HIV/AIDS,skill acquisition to generate additional funds.also provide entrepreneurial /business management skills.
the project will empower 500 girls to get education and have economic strength providing for themselves and families needs.
