Thanks to your support we are empowering small-scale farmer families in Oaxaca, Mexico.
We continue to identify opportunities to address important needs in the communities where we work. For example, the insufficient daily wage of US$5 led us to consider ways to increase local incomes. Beyond supporting the cultivation of amaranth, we are linking farmers to our regional processing centers to enable small-scale farmers to transform the crop into ready-to-eat products, including popped amaranth.
Today, thanks to you, we have more families involved in the ecological agriculture method for amaranth and other crops for their own consumption, and also to generate new incomes.
