Due to the impairment or injury, part of the body funcion of the diesable people are damaged. This creats strong negative impact on the life of disable people. For example, it's quite difficult for them to walk out of the door of their home if there's not accessible facilities and infrastructiors. Sometimes when the out-goings, like go to hospital, bank, etc. is ineviatable, they have to turn to help from the society, like the volunteers and other NGOs.
Yet the volunteers and NGO staff have never received trainings about the Convention of the Rightsof Personswith Disabilities(CRPD)which providing the guidline for the disable people's service. According to CRPD, everything related to the disable people should be decided by they themselves, including the service provided for the disable people.
So we organized a CRDP training for the volunteers and NGO staff with other NGOs. The training is consisted of basic philanthropy ethics, disable models and CRDP.
This training will raise the volunteers and NGO staff awareness about the disable people and improve their ability in providing services for the disable people.
