The “Empower 400 Students in Zaria with School Supplies” project is currently ongoing, with fundraising and procurement activities progressing steadily toward the $7,500 target. At this stage, financial mobilization remains the primary focus as the organization continues to engage donors, partners, and community supporters to secure the remaining funds needed for full implementation. Preliminary budgeting and supplier consultations have already been completed to ensure cost-effective bulk purchasing of backpacks, exercise books, and essential stationery materials despite the continued rise in market prices across Nigeria.
Although no donations have yet been recorded on the campaign platform, awareness efforts have expanded through community outreach and online advocacy to attract financial support for the project. Current market assessments confirm that inflation continues to significantly impact the cost of educational materials, reinforcing the urgency of timely fundraising to prevent vulnerable students from dropping out of school before the next academic term.
The project team has also initiated collaboration with local school administrators and community representatives in Zaria to verify beneficiary lists and prioritize children from orphaned and zero-income households. This preparatory phase ensures that once funding is secured, distribution can commence immediately and transparently. The project remains committed to financial accountability, with all incoming funds designated strictly for procurement, logistics, and direct educational support for the targeted 400 students.
Overall, the project continues to gain visibility and community interest, and the team remains optimistic that sustained donor engagement and strategic fundraising efforts will make it possible to reach the financial goal and successfully equip the students with the supplies they urgently need to remain in school.
