This project aims to empower 300 teen mothers, through vocational skills, in trades of art and craft to ensure diversity of creativity and innovation to overcome dynamic life challenges with in a period of 10 years. The numbers in premature pregnancy in Rwanda has raised as the affects to them have raised too since 2020, such effects include mental and poverty that might affect the upbringing of their little ones yet they are our future generations.
There is a large number of 23,000 teenage pregnancy in Rwanda according to the government of Rwanda. This has led to school drop out and traumatization where some have gone beyond to making suicide. The government is working extremely hard to help those girls and to stop such problem but still it has not succeeded and together for the children is working closely with those teen mothers and their children to make a better future for them again.
Together for the children provides free education, nutrition, pays medical assurance, technical skills and training on how to prevent diseases which are caused by poor hygiene. The trained teen mothers are given tool kit to start up their own income generating activities.
This project will educate 200 teen mothers helping them to rise from loneliness, traumatization and poverty which will also improve the well being of their children.
