Thanks to this project, we will provide 200 underprivileged families with the tools, resources, and knowledge they need to develop sustainable solutions and improve their quality of life. La Nazarena is a center for human development that supports, educates, and empowers vulnerable families in Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires, offering comprehensive quality education, healthcare, and job skills training so that these families can thrive.
Florencio Varela is one of the most socioeconomically vulnerable districts in Buenos Aires Province. State-run schools face poor curricula, overcrowded classrooms, teacher strikes, high dropout rates, and a lack of resources, compounded by weak public infrastructure and widespread informal housing. As a result, children grow up facing discrimination, domestic violence, and malnutrition, with few pathways out of poverty.
We run a comprehensive program that ensures equal access to quality education, covering math, language and literature, alongside sports and vegetable gardening programs for children and teens. Our early childhood development center provides a safe and stimulating space for young children five days a week. For adults, we offer secondary-school completion programs, along with vocational training in gastronomy, hairdressing, and computing. We also provide medical support and psychological care.
Thanks to this project, we will improve the quality of life and educational standards of 200 families in Florencio Varela. As a result, these families will gain access to higher education, dignified employment, and quality healthcare. We place strong emphasis on quality education and vocational training as a path out of poverty, and on food gardening programs to fight hunger and malnutrition. In the long term, these families will become agents of change within their own community.
