Dear donors,
Thank you for your continued support of Student Driven Solutions. You have made our dreams and the dreams of many young women in Malawi much easier to achieve! Below is a message from one of our students, Rose, about her journey with Student Driven Solutions:
Student Driven Solutions has helped me to know how I can achieve my goals. I have learned more. Now I am able to do what I thought wasn’t important in the past. The first time I wrote my exams in 2014, I wasn’t able to go back to school. But now, I’m thinking of going back to school. I have learned that we should keep working to achieve our goals. I learned this at Student Driven Solutions because there was a guest who came and told us that we should be creative and not give up until we achieve what we want. Before I had given up. But not now.
Before Student Driven Solutions I was just at home doing nothing. I was looking for a job. Now I plan to go back to school so that I can do my dream job. Now I have confidence that I can go back to school and I will be working hard. I have seen role models that have encouraged me to do so.
I want to help girls to go back to school because most of the girls drop out of school because they have children early. When they get an education they will be able to know which is right or wrong. I want to create a club that will help them to be guided by other role models so they can see that even if you go through something difficult you can be helped and get skills.
Rose’s discovery of her confidence and abilities would not be possible without your generous support. Thank you for supporting the project.
With gratitude,
The SDS Family
