Dear Family, Friends and Supporters of Serendipity Healthcare Foundation,
We finished last quarter 2025 training and graduating over 15 women entrepreneurs and came up with a road map for Advanced Training on Artificial Intelligence for small businesses. A call for the training session was done in January 2026 with 20 female entrepreneurs subscribing for the program, however only one female entrepreneur completed the program.
A survey was conducted on all the participants and the following pain points came out,
Inflationary Pressure: Rising costs in Nigeria that is affecting both organizational overhead and the daily lives of participants.
Barriers to Entry: High data costs, time fatigue (length), and platform friction.
This led to a review of what could work and a new methodology that took on the following, an Individualized Approach: The training is now tailored to the individual’s pace and tech comfort.
Flexibility as a Feature: Our women entrepreneurs now select the platform that is most cost-effective for them transitioning from high-data video calls to lower-data messaging apps and asynchronous modules.
For the Q1 review even with a smaller cohort, the quality of engagement often rises with personalization.
5 women were successfully trained in Q1 under the new system. And While the number is smaller than the previous minimum of 10 per batch training, the completion rate and retention has been 100% with this new system that the women actually find comfortable.
Our future strategy is introducing The Incentive Model: which is data gifting as a strategic investment to our subscribed women entrepreneurs rather than just a subsidy. The Objective would be To remove the final technical barrier, ensuring that no woman has to choose between purchasing data for her business education and meeting household needs.
Goal: Scaling back up to (or exceeding) the 10-person cohort as funding stabilizes
Key Metrics we would use to track this would be using the platform apps such as WhatsApp or Google Meet or Zoom which ever one is most comfortable for them, rate their time to completion on individual trainings better than group sessions, and evaluate the cost per participant between group sessions and individualized training.
