1. Introduction
This report provides an update on the progress of the Empower S/East Youth with Biogas Skills project (ID: 55718). Our mission is to equip young people across Southeast Nigeria with practical skills in biogas technology, renewable energy, waste-to-energy innovation, and green entrepreneurship. By transforming organic waste into clean energy, we aim to create employment opportunities, improve environmental sustainability, and strengthen community resilience.

3. Financial Summary
During this reporting period, we gratefully received $0.29 USD through GlobalGiving.
Although the amount is modest, every contribution represents encouragement and confidence in our vision. The donation will be combined with future contributions to support project implementation, including youth training, demonstration activities, community education, and the development of practical biogas technologies.
In addition to donor support, we continued implementing project planning through our internal social enterprise, which provides in-kind resources, technical expertise, volunteer support, research, and innovation.
4. Project ActivitiesBiogas Technology Development
We continued planning practical training programmes that will equip young people with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to design, construct, operate, and maintain small-scale biogas systems for households, farms, schools, and communities.
Samony BioEcotech Solutions
Through Samony BioEcotech Solutions, we continued advancing research and innovation in waste-to-energy technologies, biomass utilization, organic waste recycling, biofertilizer production, and sustainable environmental management. These innovations are designed to create green jobs while addressing environmental challenges.
Community Outreach
Despite limited funding, we continued community engagement and awareness activities highlighting the benefits of renewable energy, clean cooking solutions, climate action, proper waste management, and the economic opportunities available within the green economy.
Youth Empowerment
We continued developing training materials and implementation plans that will prepare young people to establish sustainable businesses in renewable energy, environmental services, and climate-smart enterprises.
5. Social Enterprise Support
Our internal social enterprise continues to serve as the foundation of this project by providing in-kind support, research, innovation, volunteer engagement, and technical development.
Over the past three years, we have invested in sustainable technologies, renewable energy innovation, food systems, environmental conservation, and youth empowerment initiatives. These experiences are helping us build a practical and sustainable model for biogas training and green enterprise development across Southeast Nigeria.

Limited funding continues to slow the establishment of demonstration biogas systems, procurement of training equipment, and expansion of practical training opportunities for young people.
Additional donor support will enable us to establish demonstration centres, train more youth, and expand access to renewable energy technologies across underserved communities.
