CLASS DESKS AT THE RENTED PREMISES

Executive Summary

Our project provided care and support to 35 orphans in Uganda, focusing on education, health, and psychosocial well-being. Over the project period, we achieved significant milestones, including improved school attendance, health outcomes, emotional support and started a school to acomodate a good number of pupils which we have began with renting the premises in the community.

 

Project Objectives

1. Provide educational support (school fees, materials, and mentorship)

2. Ensure access to healthcare services

3. Offer psychosocial support and counseling

4. Foster community engagement and support

 

Achievements

1. *Education*: 60% of beneficiaries showed improved academic performance.

2. *Health*: most beneficiaries received regular medical check-ups and treatment.

3. *Psychosocial Support*: 85% of beneficiaries demonstrated improved emotional well-being.

4. *Community Engagement*: Local community members were trained as volunteers to support the project.

 

Challenges

1. Limited resources and funding

2. Distance to healthcare services

3. Stigma and social isolation

 

Lessons Learned

1. Community-based approaches are effective in supporting vulnerable children.

2. Collaboration with local authorities and organizations is crucial.

 

Recommendations

1. Scale up educational support

2. Enhance healthcare services

3. Expand community engagement and volunteer training

 

Conclusion

The project made a significant impact on the lives of 34 orphans in Uganda. Continued support and expansion will further improve their well-being and future prospects.
