Another school is welcomed to the happy family

By Edmund Pinto | Country Director, Ghana

New computer lab setup at Piase
New computer lab setup at Piase

The team arrived at Piase D/A Primary school around 1:00pm. We were welcomed by the headmaster of the school, a few teachers and some opinion leaders of the community council. The school had a neatly arranged and conducive dedicated room ready, fully secured with burglar proofed and sockets ready with surge protectors and a UPS.

We had arranged to give out 10 computers to the school, but it later came to our knowledge that they had two dedicated rooms ready for set-up; one at the primary school (where we first arrived), and another identical one at the J.H.S, also with  surge protectors (also UPS).The headmaster explained that main lorry street in between the primary and the JHS will make it difficult for the students to be using one computer laboratory that's why they prepared for two seperate labs.

After careful consideration, we decided to give out a total of twelve (12) computers in total to both school –four (4) at the Primary, and eight (8) at the J.H.S.

Both laboratories were successfully set up. Everyone present was very happy about the initiative, and arrangements had already been made for some students to start lessons with the computers tomorrow.

The cheifs and the entire community is once again grateful to all the donors who are making such interventions possible. without your support, they wouldn't get the opportunity to use computers in preperations for their Basic Education Certificate Examination.
