Emmanuel has officially registered with the Rwanda Development Board, which recognized his Cow Max as No.1 out of 25 projects selected as potential for investment at the recent Commonwealth Investment Forum.
Like many start-ups, access to funding is a big challenge, especially in Rwanda where few institutions are willing to fund start-ups. To overcome this hurdle, Emmanuel will make his first clinic operational prior to applying for financing.
To ensure success, Emmanuel is meeting with potential funders, Kigali’s top dairy farmers, and top local veterinarians. Many veterinarians have kindly agreed to work as free consultants at the first clinic.
Emmanuel has also focused on marketing. CowMax now has an official logo, business cards, letterhead, and its own url: www.cowmax.com. Help is needed next to fully design and execute a quality website.
Last month, Bpeace Board Member Sabra Richardson met with Emmanuel while she was in Rwanda. She reports: “Emmanuel’s energy and positioning of his company with the overall agricultural development plan of Rwanda can only enhance his success.”
