Emilia is an active five-year-old girl from Ukraine who has had type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus since she was ten months old. The girl needs medical devices that her parents can't afford. The funds needed to support a child with diabetes are substantial for an average Ukrainian family. Therefore, like many other Ukrainian children, Emilia is being treated with the help of benefactors.
Emilia is an active five-year-old girl from Ukraine who has had type 1 insulin-dependent diabetes mellitus almost since birth. Her parents cannot afford to provide her with all the necessary medical equipment for treatment. The state only provides insulin for free to children with diabetes; parents must buy everything else on their own. Since young children with diabetes require constant supervision, Emilia's mother cannot work. This family cannot afford to buy medical devices for Emilia
Even the usual continuous glucose monitoring sensors become inaccessible to Emilia, not to mention the insulin pump. This has an extremely negative impact on her health. Her life is complicated by constant pain from punctures and injections - she can have up to 20 punctures a day and night. Most importantly, diabetes will significantly shorten the child's life. With the funds raised, we will purchase modern equipment for the child, which will make their life less stressful and painful
Modern medical devices can prevent all problems if used constantly. With equipments Emilia will be able to live a normal childhood full of physical activities. Nowadays, children with insulin-dependent diabetes can study hard and achieve their goals without letting their illness hold them back. We can help Emilia forget the pain of punctures, constant prohibitions, and restrictions, and her sad difference from her peers. Instead, she can dream and achieve her goals in life despite her illness
