Since August, our dedicated efforts through the Emergency Relief Programme have centered on providing immediate and comprehensive support to the victims of the devastating wildfires in Northeast Attica.
In this critical time of need, our network of supporters has been pivotal in enabling us to offer humanitarian aid to individuals and families who have faced loss and hardship.
Our response has encompassed much more than the delivery of essential goods. While we continue to meet critical needs such as food, clothing, and shelter supplies, we have also prioritized holistic care. Recognizing that the trauma from such events extends far beyond physical destruction, our team has been offering psychosocial advisory services and counselling. This support helps victims begin to process their experiences, find hope, and regain stability.
Our mission goes beyond short-term relief.
We are working tirelessly to ensure victims are safeguarded from the threat of homelessness—a risk that remains alarmingly real.
We believe in standing by their side for as long as it takes to rebuild their lives.
This means maintaining and strengthening our efforts, ensuring adequate resources to address their evolving needs, and providing sustained support for recovery.
As winter approaches, we face another critical phase. The needs of wildfire victims will intensify with the drop in temperatures, especially regarding heating and energy costs.
We are prepared to ramp up our efforts, but we cannot do it alone.
Now more than ever, we need to boost our resources and ensure that we have the capacity to meet the heightened demands of winter.
We invite you to continue this journey with us, as we strive to protect, empower, and guide wildfire victims toward a safer, more stable future.
