With over 140 refugee camps in Aarsal, many refugees are no longer able to afford the necessary items needed to keep themselves and their families warm. Through this project, URDA aims to provide assistance to refugees living in informal settlements with little to no shelter to help them make it through this winter season.
Aarsal is home to thousands of Syrian refugees, with over 140 refugee camps in that area alone. The residents of Aarsal face extreme temperature drops during winter. Syrian refugee families in Aarsal have nothing but flimsy plastics sheet and some blankets for the upcoming winter. Many families do not know how they will make it through this winter.
This project will provide families with the relief items necessary to help them survive this winter. Our teams will be providing food and non food items to families who need it most, like plastic sheets, jackets, clothes, boots, fuel, and so much more.
This project will provide families with mental well-being and will bring them relief during the most difficult season on them.
