I hope this letter finds you, your family members, your loves ones are doing very well at this uncertain time.
It was almost four months ago when our last updates on the aid distribution in Indonesia. Indonesia has been facing the second wave of the spread of Covid-19 since July, 2020. While the situation in Jakarta at uncertain time due to Covid-19, the floods is occured again in Jakarta early October 2020 and the humanitarian mission must continue to support vulnerable families who affected by flood in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta.
Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) has prepared logistical assistance for flood victims on Jalan Damai RT 04/02 Ciganjur, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Sunday (11/10). The emergency assistance was distributed to flood victims in RW 02, Ciganjur Administrative Village, Jagakarsa, South Jakarta, Sunday (10/11). The assistance included ready-to-eat food, groceries, baby supplies, cleaning supplies and clothing.
Meanwhile, ACT Foundation also opened a humanitarian post and simultaneously alerted a humanitarian fleet in the form of a pre-hospital ambulance, cabin car, and a logistic truck at the As Syifa Mosque, Ciganjur, South Jakarta. The rain that continued to flush Jakarta on Saturday afternoon triggered a landslide disaster that befell residents of RT 04/02 Kelurahan Ciganjur. At least 300 households or the equivalent of around 1,200 people were affected, one person died. Based on data that ACT Foundation received on Saturday night, the refugee centers are in three postal posts, one of which is the RT 04/02 pavilion. Albar from the Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) South Jakarta Program Team reported that aid was distributed to the evacuees in the hall of RW 02 Ciganjur.
