You, as a donor, can really make a difference to local communities basic needs and rights! Sometimes everyone needs a helping hand and the communities we work with in South-East Asia are no different, many of whom are lacking in even the most basic of necessities. We work with communities that get little support from main funding organisations, and it is up to us to collectively make sure emergency situations can quickly be rectified and provide stability in people's lives.
Many people struggle for the bare necessities and often are faced with emergency food and health situations. This project aims to help cover urgent costs for the communities we work with in South-East Asia, thus giving them a much needed helping hand. We take a lot of things for granted yet there are still many people who work hard for basic survival. With you, we want to make sure that we work towards poverty elevation for ethnic minority, migrant, refugee and otherwise marginalised peoples.
The Branch Foundation plans to have a funding pool from which we can respond quickly to emergency poverty/welfare needs. There are thousands of people on the Thai-Burma border, in Thailand, Cambodia and Laos in desperate need, and we want to be able to support them to a more dignified, empowered and brighter future. By providing them with a reliable source of food, hygiene products and education materials, we hope that people can be assured that their families can survive unexpected situations.
Ensuring that people have more stable lives gives them the opportunity to concentrate on education and community development which can then be passed down from generation to generation. We want YOU to join us in making this a reality!
