Within 25 minutes of the ground shaking violently with a 7.4 earthquake, a 15-foot tsunami hit Central Sulawesi, Indonesia, affecting more than 2.5 million people. The tsunami destroyed 65,733 homes, demolished multi-story buildings and hotels, and decimated roads and bridges. Upwards of 1,200 people were killed and countless are still missing. More than 61,867 people are now homeless without food, drinking water, shelter, or medical supplies. Indonesia is calling for international aid.
