Thank you so much for compassionately supporting families affected by Hurricane Matthew.
Back in October 2016, parts of Haiti were once again rocked by a catastrophic natural disaster, This caused widespread damage and pushed many families even deeper into poverty.
In the weeks and months following Hurricane Matthew, your generosity has helped World Concern provide emergency aid and support to more than 800 Haitian families. That number continues to climb as we walk with affected families and support them as they rebuild. You have allowed this to happen, and on their behalf we want to say thank you.
At the height of the disaster, your gifts distributed hygiene kids and food packs to those most in need, and allowed us to better work with partners to identify communities where water borne disease was becoming an issue. Lives were saved because of you!
Hurricane Matthew flattened more than just homes. In communities across the country, farms and livelihoods were uprooted and washed away. Years of work, even generations of work, was gone.
You helped these desperate families in their time of need and World Concern will work continue to work together with survivors and community groups to implement medium, and long-term shelter opportunities.
Thank you again for all that you've done to help these families recover and rebuild.
