Flood-affected & Other rural communities in Punjab Pakistan continue to face severe health challenges even after the disaster. Many pregnant women cannot travel to cities for medical checkups due to poverty, damaged infrastructure, and lack of transportation. This project will organize mobile health camps and maternal health services for vulnerable mothers and newborns, providing prenatal checkups, safe delivery support, medicines, and health awareness to protect mothers and children.
Many rural communities in flood-affected areas of Punjab, Pakistan still face serious health challenges. Damaged roads, poverty, and lack of transport make it difficult for pregnant women to reach hospitals or clinics for regular checkups and safe deliveries. As a result, many mothers and newborns face preventable health risks. Limited awareness about maternal health and nutrition further increases complications for women and babies.
This project will organize mobile maternal and child health camps in flood-affected rural communities where access to healthcare is limited. Pregnant women will receive prenatal checkups, basic medicines, and health guidance. The project will also provide referrals for safe deliveries and raise awareness about maternal nutrition, hygiene, and newborn care to protect mothers and babies.
The project will improve the health and safety of mothers and newborns in underserved communities. Early medical care and awareness will help prevent complications during pregnancy and childbirth. Healthier mothers and children will strengthen families and communities. Over time, increased awareness and access to care will encourage communities to prioritize maternal health and seek timely medical support.
