This project will provide funds to prepare and distribute free meals to over 1500 disadvantaged members of our local community. All the funds collected will be used to purchase ingredients such as rice, eggs, vegetables, water and other basic supplies. The current COVID19 outbreak has left entire families with no income and posed a significant threat on their lives. Local restaurants in Kamala, Phuket, are providing free food to 700 people in need every day. HELP US RAISE FUNDS TO SUPPORT THEM!
COVID19 is affecting people all over the world, forcing businesses to shut down and leaving workers at home with no pay. For those living in poverty, the impact can be way more tragic. On Phuket, tourism is the main source of revenue, COVID19 has hit hard. The vast majority of people live on cash earned day by day and have no savings. They are now unemployed and struggling to feed their children. Three generations live together in one room, lacking hygiene and nutrition.
This project will provide funds to buy , prepare and distribute free meals and water to over 700 people daily. With 1,000 US$ we can aim at feeding 1600 people in need: children, adults and elderly members of the community. The food we provide is for most the only way they can manage to keep safe and healthy during these hard times. HELP US FEED PEOPLE IN NEED!
As times are uncertain, the donation goal will be updated each time we collect 1,000 US$ to keep raising funds for this initiative. We hope this project will enable local restaurants to continue providing free meals to disadvantaged individuals for as long as needed.
