Families in Karamoja, northeastern Uganda, are facing growing challenges in accessing sufficient food. An estimated 673,000 people are experiencing severe food insecurity due to prolonged dry spells, crop failures, poor rainfall, and rising food prices.
The crisis is especially difficult for households with young children, pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, older people, and families with limited sources of income. Many parents are struggling to provide regular meals, while farming communities face uncertainty following poor harvests.
Good Cause Foundation is seeking support to mobilize emergency food assistance and strengthen community efforts to reach households most affected by hunger.
Our Planned Activities
With donor support, we aim to:
Provide essential food supplies to vulnerable families.
Prioritize households with children and pregnant or breastfeeding mothers.
Work with local leaders and community volunteers to identify families requiring urgent assistance.
Promote awareness of nutrition and household food security.
Encourage community participation and cooperation in responding to hunger.
Monitor project activities and gather feedback from supported households.
