When a household begins running out of food, the situation can deteriorate quickly. Families may reduce meals, sell productive assets, or make difficult choices simply to survive.
In Karamoja, the latest 2026 IPC assessment estimates that 473,000 people are facing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity, equivalent to approximately 32% of the analysed population.
Children face particularly serious consequences. Approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months are projected to face acute malnutrition, including around 30,600 children with severe acute malnutrition.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda is appealing for donor support to help reach vulnerable families with timely assistance.
Through GlobalGiving, your donation can help provide essential food packages to households experiencing immediate shortages. Early support can help families meet basic food needs during extremely difficult periods.
We also want to help families strengthen their ability to cope with future food insecurity. Agricultural support—including seeds, farming knowledge, practical skills and appropriate resources—can contribute to stronger household food production.
Objectives:
Your support can help us reach families before hunger becomes even more devastating.
Please donate today and help us bring practical support to households in need.
