When families repeatedly face food shortages, the consequences can extend beyond hunger. Household resources can be depleted, livelihoods can become weaker, and families may find it increasingly difficult to recover.
Karamoja is facing a significant food-security crisis, with approximately 473,000 people experiencing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity, according to the latest 2026 IPC assessment.
Young children are particularly at risk, with approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months projected to experience acute malnutrition, including around 30,600 children with severe acute malnutrition.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda wants to support families not only during the immediate crisis but also as they work toward recovery.
Your donation can help provide emergency food packages to families facing hunger. With additional support, we can also contribute to agricultural recovery through seeds, farming skills, agricultural knowledge and appropriate productive resources.
By combining immediate assistance with longer-term support, we can help vulnerable families move toward greater stability.
Objectives:
Help us support families not only to survive the current crisis, but to rebuild their capacity for a stronger future.
