Rescue Families From Acute Hunger in Karamoja

When a family is hungry, immediate food assistance is essential. But when we want to create lasting change, we must also help families gain the knowledge and resources they need to produce food for themselves.

This is the approach Good Cause Foundation Uganda wants to support in vulnerable communities across Karamoja.

The latest 2026 IPC assessment indicates that 473,000 people in Karamoja are facing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity, while approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months are projected to face acute malnutrition.

Approximately 30,600 young children are projected to experience severe acute malnutrition, demonstrating the urgent need for support.

We are appealing to GlobalGiving donors to help us respond to both the immediate and longer-term dimensions of the crisis.
