Hunger can take away more than a meal. It can affect a child's ability to grow and learn, a parent's ability to work, and an entire family's ability to plan for the future.
Across Karamoja, approximately 473,000 people are facing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity, according to the latest 2026 IPC assessment. This represents around 32% of the analysed population.
The nutritional situation among young children is also deeply concerning, with approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months projected to face acute malnutrition, including approximately 30,600 children experiencing severe acute malnutrition.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda is seeking support to help vulnerable families respond to this crisis.
Through GlobalGiving, we are appealing for donations that can help provide emergency food packages to families facing immediate food shortages. Your generosity can help parents provide meals for their children during extremely difficult periods.
At the same time, we want to help families develop longer-term solutions. Support for seeds, agricultural training, farming knowledge and productive resources can help households strengthen food production and reduce their vulnerability to future food shortages.
Objectives:
Your generosity can turn a moment of hunger into a moment of hope.
Please consider making a donation today and helping us reach another vulnerable family in Karamoja.
