Food insecurity does not begin and end with one missed meal. When families repeatedly lose access to food, their savings, assets and livelihoods can also be weakened.
Karamoja is currently experiencing severe food insecurity, with approximately 473,000 people facing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity.
The latest evidence also shows a major burden of acute malnutrition among young children, with approximately 122,100 children aged 6–59 months projected to require treatment, including about 30,600 severe cases.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda wants to contribute to both immediate relief and recovery.
We are appealing for donor support to provide emergency food assistance while helping vulnerable families rebuild their ability to produce food through seeds, agricultural training, practical farming skills and appropriate resources.
Objectives:
Help us turn emergency assistance into a pathway toward recovery.
Your donation can provide relief today while helping a vulnerable family rebuild the foundation for food security tomorrow.
