For a family facing hunger, a food package is more than a collection of food items—it can mean a meal, relief, dignity and hope.
Karamoja is experiencing severe food insecurity. The latest IPC assessment found that approximately 473,000 people—32% of the analysed population—were facing Crisis or Emergency levels of acute food insecurity between April and July 2026. Around 41,000 people were already in Emergency conditions.
The crisis is being driven by a combination of factors, including poor agricultural production, climate-related shocks, high food prices, water stress and weakened household livelihoods.
Communities in Kaabong, Kotido, Karenga, Moroto and Nabilatuk are among those facing particularly severe conditions.
Good Cause Foundation Uganda wants to help vulnerable families meet their immediate food needs while also supporting pathways toward recovery.
We believe that emergency food assistance and long-term food security should go hand in hand. A family may need food today, but it also needs seeds, knowledge, skills and resources to produce food in the future.
Objectives:
You can help us respond to hunger with action.
Your donation can help provide immediate food relief while supporting families to rebuild their capacity to produce food.
Every contribution matters. Every share can reach another supporter. Every partnership can help us reach another community.
Please join us in standing with the families of Karamoja.
